Supply Chain and Logistics Program

Contact: Bill Masters

The purpose of the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) Program is to recognize individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) competencies necessary for front-line material handling through successful completion of specialized assessments. The goal of the MSSC CLT® Program is to prepare individuals for front-line handling and supply chain logistics jobs in fulfillment centers, warehouses, distribution centers, and factories (i.e., entry-level to frontline supervisor). This training program includes stackable certifications for today’s employees, as well as in-demand skills needed for long-term career paths in over 5.8 million supply chain logistics jobs.

The MSSC CLT® Program consists of two parts: Foundational-Level Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)® training and assessment and Mid-Level Technical CLT® training and assessment (CLT). The CLT® and CLA® designations articulate to college credit in the following college-level courses: CGS 1100 – Computer Applications for Business, SCM 1010 – Introduction to Supply Chain Management, TRA 2010 – Transportation and Distribution. This articulated college credit can be applied toward a Polk State College Associate in Science in Supply Chain Management degree if desired.
