Class lists now online for Polk State Kids at College, including at JDA for first time

Polk State College’s Kids at College has added a fifth session this year – at the JD Alexander Center in Lake Wales. A summertime staple in Polk County for nearly four decades, Kids at College will now be held at three different locations.

This year’s slate includes two sessions each in Lakeland and Winter Haven and for the first time, at the Polk State JD Alexander Center in Lake Wales.

Sessions 1 (June 16 through 20) and 2 (June 23 through 27) will take place on the Lakeland Campus with classes running daily from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Classes for Sessions 3 (July 7 through 11) and 4 (July 14 through 18) will take place at the same time on the Winter Haven Campus.

The JD Alexander Center will be home to Session 5. The session runs from 8:15 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. daily from July 21 through 25.

This year offers a diverse slate of classes for ages 5-13, which include Ninja Warriors, Art in Science, 3D Printing, Radical Reptiles, and more. Classes range between $75 and $85 each. Registration for classes begins May 1 on a first-come, first-served basis.
