The Fabulous DANNIBOY, aka Danny Thomas, will perform at the Polk State Lake Wales Arts Center on Sept. 25.

The Fabulous DANNIBOY, aka Danny Thomas, will perform at the Polk State Lake Wales Arts Center on Sept. 25.

The Polk State Lake Wales Arts Center will host The Fabulous DANNIBOY for a free concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 25.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Babyface, Maxwell, The Jackson 5 and Ne-Yo, The Fabulous DANNIBOY, aka Danny Thomas, specializes in soulful Motown hits. Before going solo, Thomas was part of the R&B group, Something Special, which in the early 1990s had a Billboard top-12 hit with “I Wonder Who She’s Loving.”

“Danny has a voice that is angelic,” said Polk State Lake Wales Arts Center Director Osubi Craig.

“His warm, melodic tone is a throwback to the silky sounds of Marvin Gaye. He is a consummate performer who will dazzle the crowd.”

The Polk State Lake Wales Arts Center is located at 1099 State Road 60 East.
